Christmas

if u need clarification on my 20 lines of dialogue check urban dictionary you should find everything that you need. i am moderately pumped for Christmas vacation. i plan on sleeping until at least noon and eating large amounts of food. i am pretty sure I'm getting guitar hero tre, an ipod, and some other stuff. I'm not looking forward to coming back to school which is the worst part of getting time off. but its OK because when I'm a Senior the last day of school will be like a forever school vacation accept for when i go to college.

OR Q2

After they get out of the restaurant the erasers started chasing them. they jumped into some random van and started driving. they turned off the road into a corn field to try to loose the erasers. when they left the field they hit a drainage ditch and rolled the van. once the got reoriented the erasers surrounded them. Max told the two little ones to get out. so they opened the door and Iggy and gasman jumped out and got away. nudge and max were captured the took them back to the "school" to use them as a training aid for the new erasers. when they got there max was relieved to see angle was unharmed.

class

today in class i actually understood what was happening durning the play. i enjoyed it and thought it was semi ok. The onething is i wish we had finished it so we dont have to read tonight. The cards that we filled out at the end may be helpful to go over in class so that we can review what is going on. The other thing was when we watched the movie on wensday i liked it i thought it was pretty good.

Once max leaves the house she find a spot to take off and she starts flying towards were she last saw the others. The first thing she thinks when she arrives is that they left without her to go save angle but then she sees them on a ledge. When she lands she notices everyone was there Iggy and gazzy had flown and caught up with them because the erasers had found their house. They all take off together towards the School (that is what the place the were genetically engineered at was called) to get Angle. They have to stop on the way to get food so they go to a fast food restaurant. once they get there and start eating max notices something strange it was an erasers. They all bolted to the door and narrowly escaped.

The conflict has really began to progress because noe that max is on her way to save angle everthing is moving at a faster pace and the suspense is starting to build.

OR Q2

When the girls mother starts to help max she sees her wings. She doesn't freak out she just stays calm and pretends it is not unusual. Max is grateful for this the get her bandaged up and the mother wants to take her to her veterinarian clinic to get an x-ray. Max finally agrees to go and when they get there they get the x-ray taken and see that her bones are fine but she has some sort of tracking device in her. The girls mother takes her home and insists that max stay the night to get healed a little. Resentful because there losing time on saving angle max agrees.

class today

I didn't like some parts of the movie but part of it was OK. I enjoyed some of the facts they told about Shakespeare and the plays he made. I also liked all the background information they gave on the theaters and other play writers. One thing i thought was intresting is how the actors were more famous at the time that the plays were taking place and now most of them are long forgotten and the writers is all we remember. I didn't really like some of the parts they were strange and irrelevant. I also thought the movie was slow but overall it was pretty good.

Fridays class

i enjoyed having work time and being able to finish my flee map. The first half was ok i got a lot of my questions anwsered and i feel more confidant about my paper now. The one thing i still have trouble with is the work cited page. i think that instead of making the out line then the flee map we should have just made one or the other. There was plenty of time to finish our homework so that was nice. I am not going to start my paper this weekend because i like to procrastinate. i hope we can get the lab on monday so i can get a good start on my paper but if not i call the computer in the room.

when max gets to the ground and finds two older boys with a gun picking on this younger girl.Max tells the girl to run then she beats up the older boys and just when she is about to take off she hears a shot a piercing pain in her arm .she had been shot. so she ran into the woods and kept running and the boys followed her she ran and ran until she came to an opening with a house in it and she saw the very girl she had just saved. so cautiosly she aproached her and asked for help. So they went inside to warm up and thats when the girl saw the blood so she rushed to get her mother, a vetranarian to help

I liked this quote because it just shows how hard these kids lives had been and just a little bit of kidness from anyone was greatly appreciated

When they take off to leave Max decides to leave the youngest (gas man) and the blind one (Iggy) the rest of them went to save angle. They took off and flew for a couple hours of the eight hour flight then stopped at a empty moutian lodge to get some food and take a quick break. They lied down for a half hour break and the next thing they know its morning and they had slept for six hours. Max is upset she let this happen and gets back to flying asap. They fly for a couple more hours and are about to take another break when max sees a little girl in trouble. She tells the others she has to do something and shell catch up with them in a little bit. then she starts her decent.

The auther uses a lot of sensory words. when the mutant kids are flying the auther makes it feel really real throught the languege he uses.

Class with a sub

I did enjoy the freedom of just having work time with out the subs intrusion but our assignment was a little extensive. i dont think we should have to find 25 things it was a little rediculous. If a normal paper will average 3 0r 4 per paragraph why couldnt we just find 15 or 16 good quotes instead of 25 decent ones. i understand -paraphrasing now and i think i did a pretty good job at it. Today the sub was ok she didnt really bother us but was not helpful on the subject of paraphrasing.

The book i am reading this quarter is titled Maximum Ride : The Angel Experiment written by James Patterson. The book is about five kids that were genetically engineered to have superpowers and wings. They all are living alone together in the woods. They lead a simple life with only one concern, Erasers. Erasers are half man half wolf creatures made from the same lad the five children were made from but the Erasers wanted the children back so the would come and try to capture them and bring them back to the lab to be tested the dissected. One morning all five children were going to pick berries and a bunch of Erasers came out of the woods. There was a big fight and the Erasers got away with the youngest of the five, Angle. This is when Max, the leader decides they have to fly to the lab and save her.

I like this quote because coming from a child it seems to really show how much they care about each other.

Ethics paper

I still don't really understand the difference between ethics and morals but I'm starting to get the idea. I kind of like the idea of this research paper it is better than doing one on a famous person or something like that. I also thought the article about the Internet was interesting. I don't think is OK for people to get suspended for doing things out side of school unless it is hurtful or threatening to other students and the same goes for people with jobs. I enjoyed the time we had in the lab today it helped me get the idea of how to use SIRS ( which is an awful acronym). Overall this has been a pretty good weak in enriched English 10.

All My Sons

I thought that the play All My Sons was alright. I enjoyed the end of the play but it took 70 pages before i really got into it. So overall i thought it was a pretty good book maybe a 6 out of 10. i think one theme of All My Sons was family. A large amount of the plot was based on family. When joe let all the cracked engine parts be sent he was doing it for his family and because of that he thought it was all right. When he lied about being sick and let his business partener take all the blame he did it for his family so once again he thought that made it ok. On the other hand his son Chris felt that family was not an excuse to do any of those things. chris thought it was horrible what his dad did even though it was for family. i think the main theme is the importance of family over strangers based on everyones personal opinion.

Act Three Prediction

I think that Joe will turn himself in and spend the rest of his life in prison. ann and Chris will get married. Kate will have a mental break down and kill herself and the whole family will be torn apart. (Did Joe go to court and get aquited or was he never sent to trial. If he was Aquited he couldnt be retried because of Double Jepordy)

Point Blank

After Alex gets away from Sir friends daughter he runs back to the house. When he arrives there is a helicopter from the school he is going to waiting to pick him up. They stop in london and stay at a hotel. At dinner alex starts to feel funny so he goes back to his room and then he passes out. When he is uncounice the floor of his hotel room lowers into a basement that has surgical equiptment. he is striped naked and they photograph him and take DNA samples. When he wakes up he is in his room and nothing has chaged at all he doesnt know what happened to him when he was uncouncious. After he gets dreesed he goes to the lobby and they leave for the acadamy.

Point Blank

When Alex arrives at Sir Friends house he is greated warmly by all except for his daughter. They take an imdeaite disliking to each other. The next few days they spen avoiding each other when ever possible and alex memorizes the family history. Then one day at dinner Sir Friends daughter offers to take Alex hunting. When alex leaves for the trip they dont even give him a gun and treat him very badly. He decides to walk back home so he turns around and starts heading back then he hears gun shots right by him. Sir Friends daughter and her friends were shooting at alex. He runs and finds a pond and goes in using a piece of hollow grass to breath. When alex sees them from under water the chapter ends.

Point Blank

In the following chapter Alex is called back to MI6 for another mission. One day after school he is picked up by MI6's cheufer and taken to headquarters. Alex does not want to do the mission but once again Alex is black mailed into doing it. He is breifed on his mission. He has to go to a very sclusive school anf spy on the students and head master. There have been strange things happening at the school it is only for the children of the rich and famous. The wierd thing is the parents of the children that go there keep dying and MI6 does not hink it is a coincidince so they are sending in Alex. After he is briefed he is sent to the family that will be his secret identity for a week so he can learn all about them.

A Literary Review
The film The 400 Blows, directed, and produced by Francois Truffaut is an exceptional memoir that takes place in France during the late 1950’s. I think the film is an interesting point of view on the life of a rebellious French boy. The film captures only a small portion of Antoine’s childhood but it reveals a lot about his character. The film also uncovers the struggles Antoine has with his parents. Over all I believe that the techniques the memoir uses are very effective at capturing the audience’s attention.
The literary aspects in this film were excellent. The plot and themes stood out to me as the best literary aspects of this film. The plot is engaging and it keeps the viewer interested. Antoine is constantly getting in trouble and getting into mischief but the plot also has a deeper side. The memoir reveals Antoine’s many personal struggles with his parents. Antoine has a very rough relationship with his mom and the film conveys this nicely. The reason their relationship is in such bad shape could be because Antoine is very rebellious. The theme of rebellion runs deep in the film. Rebellion is shown through Antoine’s actions; he is always getting in trouble and running away. One key example is when Antoine steals a type writer. This is a good example because he knows that stealing is bad but he still does it to rebel against the restrictions of his parents and society.
I believe the film does a great job with dramatic aspects. All of the actors fit their parts extremely well. In general I would say the casting choices are exceptional and all of the actors look their parts too. The best actor is Jean-Pierre Leaud who plays Antoine Doinel. He is the perfect actor for a little rebellious boy. The next best actor is Claire Maurier who plays Gilberte Doinel. She is able to show a bitter detachment towards Antoine that is very convincing. Also a very attractive and independent woman like her would not want to be stuck in a small apartment raising a juvenile son. The third best actor is Guy Decomble who plays the French teacher. He is extremely mean and does not tolerate any disrespect from his students. He is also caring and understanding when Antoine first told him his mother died. Another dramatic aspect used is lighting there were a lot of scenes that are dark and dreary. This represents the dark times Antoine is experiencing. Near the end of the movie when Antoine runs to the ocean and when he ditches school it was much lighter because he was free.
The cinematic aspects are done very well in the film The 400 Blows. The music portrays the emotion of the actors in each scene. It also is enjoyable to listen to. The camera movement and the photography are interesting. There is a very long tracking shot at the end of Antoine running. I like this effect because it represents his long journey to freedom and it feels like the viewer is running along side him. Medium shots and low camera angle are two photography techniques used in the film. My favorite is the low angle shots because it makes an intimidating figure seem even more menacing. The editing is also done well I never noticed when the scene changes. The technique called cut is used so when one scene ended the next scene immediately appears. I believe this is the best way of editing because it does not interrupt the movie.
The 400 Blows and Black Boy are similar in many ways but they are also different. One similarity is that both are memoirs of young men struggling to make it on their own. Also both boys tend to get in a lot of trouble like when Antoine lies about his mom dying and Richard burns down his house. Lastly they both have a bad relationship with their fathers. There are also many differences in these two memoirs. One of the main themes of Black Boy is racism there is no aspect of racism in The 400 Blows. A second difference is the two memoirs take place in different continents almost fifty years apart. Lastly when Antoine would be considered wealthy compared to Richard, Richard rarely had enough to eat or to go to school. These are a few of many similarities and differences in the memoirs The 400 Blows and Black Boy.
I would recommend this movie for a nice night out or if it was on television I would defiantly recommend it as a nice Sunday night movie. A few reasons I would recommend this movie is because of its fantastic literary, dramatic, and cinematic aspects. The main reason I would recommend this film is the literary aspects. I enjoyed the literary aspects especially the plot it really kept me interested. The themes were also good and portrayed a believable story of Antoine’s childhood. Two other reasons I would recommend this movie is because of the dramatic and cinematic aspects. The casting is done well and the actors do an excellent job and the photography and editing is excellent for an older movie. These are a few reasons why I would recommend the film The 400 Blows.

Point Blank

In the first chapter of Point Blank another book written by Anthony Horowitz a man is murdered. The man who is killed is a very wealth man who owns a computer company.He is killed by "the Gentleman" a hit man hired by some unknown source. He made it look like an accident by moving his private elevator up one floor and putting in a hologram so it looked like it was still there. After Michael Roscoe the computer guy stepped into the hologram and fell fifty floors to his death the gentleman simply replaced the elevator to its original possession and left. The hit man is called the Gentleman because he sends floors to the wives and families of all the people he kills.

strormbreaker

In the previous chapters Alex had been captured know he had been dumped into a giant tank of water with a poisonous jelly fish. Alex thinks to use one of his gadgets that the lady in the gadget lab gave him. it is a bottle of cream that melts metal in seconds he applies it to the hinges and the tank breaks open. Alex only has one hour and fifteen minutes to get to London so he shoots a harpoon into the plane that was taking off and reels himself in. once hes inside he uses a gun he took from a guard to force the pilot to go to London. then he parachutes out into the science museum which is were the ceremony is being held. once inside he shoots the button that would activate all the stormbreakers and is congradulated by MI6. he is glad the whole ordeal is over and he leaves for home and is kidnaped on the way. THE END.

After Alex sees the man get shot he wants to starts to do some more snooping. the day after he sees this he is told to go on a nature walk through the forest and two men try to kill him. After he escapes he sees an abandon mine shaft and he goes in it to find the lock open and a map with his uncles name on the stationary. Alex goes down in the mine and follows the map at the end he finds him self looking in on a laboratory of people in space suit and a decontamination chamber. then he figuers it out they are puting a leatheal viruse into each computer and when they are activated at mid night millions of people will die. then he hears "stand up slowly with both hands in the air" alex was caught with only afew hours to rely this information to MI6.

In the following chapters Alex is briefed on his mission. he has to spy on a man who is giving computers to every school in the country for free. MI6 has reason to believe that this man named Salye is up to no good. The prime minister refuses to listen because he is so excited about all the free computers. So Alex goes in as a spy and imediatly find it strange there is extremly high security and When ever he listens in on a conversation with one of his gadgets people are talking about late night meetings and other strange things. Alex follows a convoy to one of these late night meetings and they arrive at the beach and a submarine submerges. A man known to be acontract killer gets off and has the men unload a large amount of silver boxes. Alex thinks it might be computer software but one of the workers drops a box and is shoot because of it. Alex thinks no one shoots someone for droping a couple CD's. Theres something up and alex is going to get to the bottom of it.

Stormbreaker

Alex Rider exhibits many traits one of his main one is curiosity. Alex is very adventures and when he feels taht somthing is out of place he has to go ckeck it out this gets him into trouble. The day he visits the junkyard to find his uncles car riddled with bullets he is almost cruched in a car compactor and shot. Alex also almost got him self killed at the MI6 headquarters when he jumped out of a window to break into another office and almost fell fifteen stories to his death. I think that this curiosity may lead to Alex getting in alot of trouble on his mission but also being a very good spy for MI6.

The book Stormbreaker by Anthony Horowitz is about a 14 year old boy who loses his uncle in a mysterieous car accident. The first thing that Alex thinks is strange is when the police told him that his uncle ian had not been wearing a seat belt. Alex knew that his uncle always wore his seatbelt. So alex decieds to go to the junk yard and find his uncles car just to be sure he actually was in an acciedent. It turns out Ian Riders car had been riddled with bullets. Then things just get stranger Alex is told his uncle was a spy for MI6 and that he was killed on a very important mission. They want Alex to complete his mission for him and when Alex rafuses they blackmale him and once he complies they send him to a training camp.

Black Boy

I really enjoyed the first two chapters of Black Boy. I thought our in class discussion on tuesday was interesting. I agree that the author wrote this book as if i all happed to someone else he is very emotionless. The book clips along at a good pace and richard does get in alot of trouble. Age four he burns down the house, then he hides under the burning house. Then at his grandmothers he tells her to kiss his butt when she is bathing him. He writes obsenities on the neighbors windows, hangs a cat, runs away, gets evicted for peeping in on the whore house and more all before the age of nine. Richard also has a strange irrtional fear of many things and reacts to them by freezing up and being un able to do anything. This is what i thought of the first two chapters of Black Boy.
